Correction: I mentioned in my previous query that a Flora Lance married a S.T. Williams... This is incorrect. Her son was S.T. Williams. Flora Lance married Tillman P. Williams. Thier sons were Samuel Thomas Williams and William Williams. I have been told by a Lance researcher that Tillman Williams either died or left the home about 1843/45. Sorry for the mix up. In 1893, IRA E. WILLIAMS and Mary Norwood Fort were married in Darlington, Co., SC. They migrated to Mississippi immediately after they married. Ira E. Williams served as a JP in Greene, Wayne and Hinds Counties in Mississippi. He died in Brownsville, Hinds Co., MS ca. 1847/48. Does anyone know who IRA E. Hi Saw the post re: Williams in MO. .We are looking for a connection to Stephen Williams,41(widower) and 6 children, Sarah J., Newton A., Parnie A.,Nancy E.,and Stephen.M and America M. (twins). Find family in webster Co. 1870 census but can't locate in MO prior to that year. Family moved from IL to Mo by 1856 were Newton was born. Father was born in IL and unknown mother in AR.
