Hello fellow list members... My WILLIAMS line originates somewhere in Wales with Thomas K. WILLIAMS b. 1852 m. in Wales, Emily GIBBONS (or GIBBIN) b. 1855. They immigrated to the Lackawanna Co. area of PA in 1882 according to the 1900 Federal Census with 3, possible 4, of their children. The children that I know of are: 1.) Sarah WILLIAMS b. 1876 in Wales. 2.) Jana WILLIAMS b. 1878 in Wales. 3.) Emily WILLIAMS b. 1882 in Wales (just before immigration.) 4.) George WILLIAMS b. 1883 in PA. 5.) Herbert Gibbin WILLIAMS b. 1887 in Peckville, PA according to his Soc. Sec. Application. Possible death in Sept. 1973. 6.) Edith WILLIAMS b. 1890 in PA. 7.) William Valentine WILLIAMS b. 1892 in Rendham, PA. (My Grandfather)...m. on Jan. 1, 1929 Rachel Gladys Mildred SHARBAUGH b. 1909 in Mountainhome, Monroe Co., PA. He died in Oct. 1956 in Wilkes-Barre, PA & was joined by his wife in the Abington Hills Cemetary, Clarks Summit, PA in Oct. 1959. 8.) Elsia WILLIAMS b. 1894 in PA. 9.) Howard WILLIAMS b. 1895 in Rendham, PA. Died June 1977 in Mount Rainer, Maryland. It is possible, that since I have been unable to locate the immigration records, there was a child born before Sarah sometime between 1872-1875 that may have either immigrated with the family or remained in Wales. If any of these names sound familiar to anyone...I'd love to share information. Thanks in advance...Lydia (WILLIAMS) YOUNG
