My grandfather RWW, Sr. according to the census and his death certificate was born in LA on December 1, 1875. On July 27, 1901 he married Wilhelmina Engbarth in Rodney, Jefferson County, MS... He was a lumber man.... Children: RWW, Jr. (my father), Felix John, (he never married), and Celia Mary... she married a Bolton! He died in Natchez, MS on June 24, 1936.... I have no idea where he was before the day he was married... According to his death certificate, his mother's name was Augusta French... I was wondering if anyone is searching for Williams in LA and has an extra Robert that needs a home.... :-)
I am searching for the following Williams line. Any information would be greatly appreciated as we all know how difficult it is to wade through all the Williams data out there. James Williams m. Anyone who would like an invitation to join this site that I have just set up today should send me an E-mail erquest---please write out your e-mail address for me, because for some reason a lot of the ones I have tried to copy from your requests donot work. Also please look in the "History section when you do access the site and remember to add your information. The more people we have adding their RESEARCH, the better it will be for every one. Remember that anything you see on the site that doesnot show a reference for documentation, might be Mythology , rather than Genealogy. Cheers, Bob H.
If you're posting about a specific individual, PLEASE put at least the name in the subject line. With so many messages it is extremely time-consuming to have to open each message to determine the content. Maybe that's what the complaint was really about. If you have a place of emigration and immigration, and birth/death dates, include those also. Ex: Robert Williams, 1608-1693, ENG>MA Otherwise, put in something that identifies the subject matter. We're all on a lot of lists, and the subject line is crucial in getting people to look at your message. Thanks. Anita
I descend from Robert through two of his children. If anyone can fill in the holes, ex. missing dates, correct surname for Robert's & Ebenezer's wives, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks. Hi everyone: I am stuck on finding the parents and siblings of Wesley Williams, my gr.gr.gr.grandfather. I believe he was born in either Virginia or Hancock County, TN, which was probably Hawkins Co., at that time (abt.1843-45). He was married to Trena Collins Williams, when he was 14 years old, and she was 16, in Hancock Co., TN. I have all their children, but have never found Wesley's parents or siblings. Any clue would be sincerely appreciated. Libby Campbell County, TN

Gr. gr. grandparents were married in DC (1857). Does anyone know where I can find church records. Also, where would I go to find birth records and wills. Would this include Alexandria (they were found there in 1860)? Russ
--=======59EB2777======= Content-Type: text/plain; x-avg-checked=avg-ok-50192685; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Well, I just got back online after a trip to Wyoming. My Williams is Malinda (aka: Linda) b. 8/22/1847 in Post county, IN and died 9 Feb 1904 in Albany, Whiteside, IL, buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery Albany, IL (next to first husband, Thomas Whisler). Malinda married first Thomas Whisler, who died in 1880, remarried (it is presumed) to Henry Love who is the father of her last child, Henrietta Love b. 1887. Thomas and Malinda had five children, one of whom is my g-grandfather William Perry Whisler. Family rumor is that Henry and Thomas were serving in the civil war together. Malinda's parents from census materials has been determined to be Thomas Williams born in VA and Delilah? born in SC. I show them with Malinda in the 1860 census in Whiteside County, Morrison township, Illinois. There is a Thomas Williams and Delilah Edmonson who married in 1820 in KY, but I am completely unsure if this is them. I also have no clue where Thomas Williams' family comes from...and with the number of them available to choose from need further research to determine origin;o) If you think you connect to this family, I will share all docs I have with you. Looking for great-great grandfather John Adcock Williams born 1820 North Carolina or South Carolina (family history says his parents came to North Carolina from Scotland---though his mother was supposed to be Indian, but his enlistment papers say he was born in South Carolina). Sometime after John's birth parents moved to MS---probably what became Choctaw County Area---in fact I suspect that if his mother was Indian---she was actually born in MS---have no record of John's parents or of John(except for enlistment in Confederacy) until about 1868 when he married---3 wives within about 5 years time. Mary L. Fletcher born after 1840 (her last name may have been Peeples) had one child Mary Etta b. Sept 29, 1869 sometime after Mary Etta was born or before John also married Cynthia Henley Johnson (she had two small boys from previous marriage) If I have found her correct parents her first name is Margaret) (Her identical twin was Martha) John and Cynthia had two boys. Oliver Monroe Dec. 8, 1869 Walter Asberry March 15, 1871 John left Cynthia when Walter was still a baby John then married Mary L. Peeples or Fletcher---(I think Mary L Fletcher and Peeples were the same person ---Peeples was maiden name and while John was married to Cynthia Mary was married to a Fletcher---partly because of date of birth(have in notes somewhere) and fact that Etta and youngest daughter seemed to have had the same mother) they had two children at least Cal Leatha Carolina b April 1882 John spent the last of his years living with daughter Mary Etta Williams Horton in Eupora, MS. He and Cynthia both died in 1902 within months of each other---and if I read the info correctly Mary L. Peeples applied for his Civil War pension. Sorry this is so convoluted...but does anyone know this John Adcock Williams? lee
Hi List, I have been on this list for some time. I must have deleted hundreds of emails ( all read). My brick wall is GEORGE WILLIAMS. I have every Williams that descended from this line in AUS. Some 1100 of them. Mr GW I think came from Barnstaple in England. 99.99999% of the Williams' on this list are US based. Yet, I cannot complain as someone may be the 0.00001% link I need. For those that complain of the deluge of names, be patient. 2 years down the track I am still waiting. The US is 10-15 times larger than Aus in population, therefore I would expect WILLIAMS would be of the same magnitude. Suggestion:- list preface names with US or UK on subject line. May put a sparkle in my eyes when spotted. Keep it up guys, list your names. This is what this is all about. Regards Wal
Hello everyone, I'm contemplating my own posts, and I have a request that in the subject line, to the extent feasible at least consider adding the names of the location and rough years in your subject line... Also consider (*maybe instead) putting in the surname of wives, allied lines... Just a thought....of the ????>Cocke Co TN>MO folks
Pat, My mistake - you are right! Alonzo and Elsie Williams are still in Weiser, ID in 1920. 1910 Weiser, Washington Co., ID, WILLIAMS, Alonzo C. 49, m. 19, b. Here is excerts from his letter - " I was six at the time. In 1926, I think it was, we moved onto property in southeast Portland where Grandma Williams, Grandpa Williams (Alonzo), their sons, Uncle Frank and Uncle Fred already lived. My family lived in a tent for a couple years and the Williams lived in what was originally to be a 2 car garage with a kitchen shed attached to it. I remember Grandpa Williams (Alonzo) pretty clearly. He was quite fat and had a bushy moustache, and was generally a grouchy sort of person." End of quote. The sons, Frank 19 yrs old and Fred 16 yrs old at that time, told me they knew nothing about thier father. No help from the other 2 children or thier descendants either. So I assume Grandpa Alonzo was not home much of the time and the sons resented it. This really makes it hard to find Alonzo Carlton Williams today. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patricia McMackin" <treetracer@comcast.net> To: "Mr. & Mrs. Wayne Williams" <wws@hctc.com> Sent: Thursday, September 12, 2002 9:57 AM Subject: RE: [WILLIAMS] Bless this Roll Call > Glenna, > > They were still in Idaho for the 1920 census.
