Hi Dave. You're sure welcome. You can bring dessert. I saw the connection with Fred and Lyle. The fourth person looks to be a connection too. I've been in touch with Juliann and have done a little research and we've done some comparisons with Adinijah and we're thinking he belongs in there somewhere. It would be a wonderful Thanksgiving if I could invite my "almost" cousin Connie from Iowa and both of our great-great-grandfather's who are named Swain O. Williams. My Swain O. was born 1809 in Caldwell, Essex Co. NJ who married Mary Myrinda Doud 1832 in Pennsylvania. My great-grandfather Freeman S. was his son. Connie's Swain O. Williams was also born NJ but in 1816. He married 1. Phoebe Peffer (b. 1812 in NJ and died Licking Co. Ohio in 1851). In 1852 he married Mary Ann Philbrook (b. 1825 Ohio, died 1906 Indiana). Their daughter Rosa Williams was Connie's great grandmother. Our grandfather's have a similar look and we're pretty sure we are related so would relish a good family discussion with our great -great grandfathers to see if they know the answers. Connie's ancestor was a Williams daughter, so DNA probably wouldn't help. Donna Williams Kentch
Donna Williams Kentch: I do not live in Willow Springs, Kansas. That is where my father's grandparents lived. Josiah Hardin Williams died near Dry Creek, Howell Co. Mo. and he and Adeline Susan Dawson Williams had a farm in Willow Springs. I have not seen the name Kentch in my Williams line, but I will keep a look out for it. Hi Everyone, I looked at the website about "Fake Family Genealogy" and I don't think it's very funny. I also take genealogy seriously, and work too hard to get the correct answers. It's alot of digging, and hours of work just to know you have the correct facts. Is anyone related to Capt Caleb Williams and Sally Williams of Mass? I have tombstone photos of them if anyone would like them. Caleb was 1778-1820 and Salley died June 185_ unreadable..... Peggy Williams Peterson

There are many Williams families in Missouri, and early Missouri. I have seen several while checking census records in Monroe and Polk Counties. I also have a lone Williams family in Polk County, Missouri. John T. Williams was born in Virginia about 1775, migrated to Kentucky, married a Mary Russell, and migrated to Greene County {now Polk} County, Missouri about 1830, when the area was first opening up. I know he had one child, name of Martha born about 1811 in Kentucky, who married and stayed in Polk County. A bio on John T. Williams says that Martha was his only child - "in this county." Where the other children were, I have not found. They may have been somehow related to a Ruyle family. If anyone has or knows of any connections to this John T. and Mary {Russell} Williams, I would be appreciative of clues on where to search. They are of a direct line with my Smith family. Judy Smith/Colorado
All: I want to let you know about a Williams resource, available online for the first time. The book WILLIAMS AND ALLIED FAMILIES, by Katie Maud Seale Ellis, was published in 1973 and has been unavailable for almost 30 years. This Williams line, the primary one documented at RelatedLines.com, dates to 1790 with the birth of at least four brothers in the Carolinas: Elijah, William R., Ezekiel, and George W. Katie began actively researching her lines in the 1920s. WILLIAMS AND ALLIED FAMILIES represents literally decades of her research and effort. In addition to Williams and Seale, other surnames that make significant appearances in the book include: Castle, Cottingham, Cross, Ellis, Harris, Holland, Hopkins, Hutchison, Lott, Pearson, Pollard, and Smith. There is a strong Mississippi/Alabama geographic presence in the book. The online version includes supplemental material supplied in the latter 1970s by Annie B. (Williams) Adams. It totals 164 pages, and a table of contents and index are provided. You can access the book from the RelatedLines homepage at: http://www.relatedlines.com/ Thanks, and good hunting, --Hughes Williams

Ten years of searching has brought me no closer to discovering the names of her parents and siblings. ==== WILLIAMS Mailing List ==== List web page: http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/surname/w/williams.html Genealogy Links - http://www2.netdoor.com/~cch/GEN-links.htm ============================== Search the US Census Collection.
