I descend from James WIlkin (1820-1900) and Mary Bailey (1831-1912). James Wilkin was born in Newbliss, the som of John Wilkin and Mary Jane Williamson. The family left Newbliss in the roughly 1845 and ended up in Leeds, Magentic County, Quebec. Family lore has it that John and Mary Jane perished during the trans-Atlantic journey, leaving James to care for and raise his then 15 year old brother Robert.
