I have a direct relative- Johann Plisch who was born in Karlsthal, Silesia (then known as Austria) in March 1864. He came to Australia in 1888. I have been having trouble in finding information about his family. Apparently his parents were a Johann or John Plisch and Marie or Maria Miller. I wondered of there might be any connection between the two Plisch families. Give the changes over time I'm not sure where to go to try and seek further records about the family.
