I'm not sure if any of the family members lived in Lincoln Co., WI, but they lived fairly close. The connection that is the oldest, with the Schmidt family, is the following: Ernestina "Tina" Schmidt married August Wilhelm Frederick Mevis (Mewes / Mavis) on 10 March 1881, Moravian Church, Milford, Jefferson Co., WI. She died on 7 Aug 1940 in Marion, Waupaca Co., WI. One of Tina's sisters, Augusta, was my great grandmother. She married Theodore Gerbig on 8 Jan 1883, also in Milford, Jefferson Co., WI.
