Surnames: FAGAN, LEWIS Classification: Obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0EC.2ACE/609 Message Board Post: >From the Necedah Republican, Thursday July 15, 1909, Page 4 Column 3 DAVID LEWIS DEAD The remains of David LEWIS were brought to Necedah yesterday from Merrill, where he died on Monday of this week as the result of old age. Mr. LEWIS, more than twenty years ago, was employed in the lumbering industry at Necedah, but for the past twenty years has resided in the northern part of the state. He was nearly 79 years of age, and was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in Company B, 40th Wisconsin Regiment. The remains were accompanied by his surviving wife; Mr. and Mrs. Frank LEWIS of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. E. V. FAGAN and sons, Earl and Eddie, of Wausau. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church here in the afternoon, being in charge of Rev. E. D. Upson, and interment was made in Bayview Cemetery.
