According to the ship's manifest, they were going to Merrill to be with Uncle John Ament. We also know that they immigrated from Goggelgereuth (now Kirchlauter) in Bavaria, Germany. But we don't have any information about the family in Germany, Joseph's father (John's brother) or Joseph's grandpartents (John's parents). Any information you have would be appreciated.
