Hello Listers, I am new to your list. I am searching for information regarding my Koster/Coster family. I have Henry Coster; b. 9 Mar 1863 in Kings County, New York; d. 1934 in Merrill, Wisconsin; m. Caroline Wheeler; 22 May 1888 in Ashland, Kentucky (Boyd County). Henry's parents were Theodore Koster b. 1819 in Amsterdam, Holland; d. Sept. 1888 in Ironton, Ohio and Gertrude Bushman; b. 1821 in Amsterdam, Holland; d. place/date are unknown. Date of immigration/naturalization is also unknown. Caroline Wheeler was born; 16 Aug 1864;d. 19 DEC 1953 in Chehalis, WA. Their children, that I know of, were: Mary; b. 03 Apr 1889 Gertrude; b. July 1890 Minnie; b. 10 July 1893 Henry's siblings were: Mary Elizabeth; b. 1857 in New York; d. 1908 in Greenup County, KY; m. Michael McEnerny - date/place is unknown. these are my great grandparents. John; date/place of birth and death are unknown. He lived in KY. George; b. 16 Oct 1853 in Lawrence County, Ohio William Anthony; b. 1858? Anna b. 1861?; d. 1906 in San Francisco, CA Theodore; b. 1867 in Ohio Mamie Gertrude; b. 17 mar 1879 in Russell, KY; d. 14 Aug 1978 in Long Beach, WA I do not know when Henry came to Lincoln County or why but he may have had Koster family there or his Wheeler in-laws may have lived there. Would SKS look for an obituary for Henry for me? I would be glad to reimburse for expenses incurred. Also, would someone send me the URL for the Lincoln County genealogy and/or historical societies? Any help and advice is most welcome!!!!! I live in Lane County, Oregon and would be glad to do lookups for anyone should the need arise. Regards, Anne Marie Menard
