Hoping to find someone who is doing family research in my line. In the late 1940's and early 1950's my parents took my grandfather to Merrill, WI to visit his cousins. He and the cousins would have been in their 70's. My great-grandfather's name was William Frederick BERNDT. He traveled from Prussia on the ship Gellert from Hamburg, Havre to the U.S. arriving on March 8, 1882. His parents' names were Christian BERNDT and Marie EBERT.
