Ralph, I got the obits yesterday, but have lost your e-mail address. I wanted to thank you for sending them. List -- I will post them asap - Ralph sent me many obits from Tomahawk dating from 1986. check the obits page in a week or so for these new names. Shelley
In going through my late father's files, I found a group of obituaries clipped from the Tomahawk Leader during the 1980's. I have no idea how complete a collection it is, but it numbers about 46 items. If anyone out there is collecting obits and would like these I would be happy to mail them. Ralph Seefeld Freeland, WA
Hi everyone, I hope that you have all had wonderful holidays, and the new year will be a great one, with everyone getting several more generations back on their family trees! I put a sesquicentennial story on the Lincoln County page - complete with 3 pictures. I unfortunately scanned all the pictures as one, so it takes a while to download. If you have too many problems with the page, let me know, and I will redo the pictures. The story is of a History of Lincoln county. It is in the table on the page. Hi everyone! I just finished updating the crime section on the topics page for ALHN WI. I would also like to ask if anyone knows of a crime that occurred in Wisconsin that I could followup through newspaper reports, etc... Am looking to do more than just the serial killers for the crime section. Also if you know of any books that were written about a specific crime and/or person who committed a crime that I could read up on. Any information would be great. Thanks for visiting my site! Hi all! Just a quick note to let you know that I have added and updated some things on the ALHN WI site. The Gazetteer from 1853 is now available for viewing. The State topics page has been finished (for now!<G>), and the counties page also has been updated. There are still come counties without information so anything you can help out with would be great! Also for those of you who have home pages dedicated to Wisconsin, please submit your site through the form from the front page. Hi all! I have been working really hard to get most of this site done to show for everyone. The American Local History Network had asked me to be webmaster for their WISCONSIN site. This site is a work in progress that will compile historical as well as genealogical information. I have some very interesting documents that have been donated by some very generous people on the Wisconsin lists - thanks! The home page is done with a little information about the history of how and when the state came into control of the US. From there you can go to the individual counties listings that will show you what information is available for each county. Some counties do not have any information available for them yet, so if you have anything to donate that would be great. I will also be adding information from the 1853 U S Gazetteer for all to read - some very interesting information on that! There will also be a Wisconsin Topics page that will be categorized into topiv specific area of research and history AND of course, genealogy. There is a section for any of you who have Wisconsin sites to submit them to be on the page. Just make sure that you let me know the submition is for the ALHN site not my personal site. OK - that's all I am going to tell you. You can see for yourself what a 'trip' this site will be. Go to http://www.usgennet.org/~alhnwius/WI_index.html and see what is there! You can also access this site through my links page on my personal home page My Wisconsin Family History Page. Hope to see you all there and hope that others can help make this site grow with information and resources!
