Posted on: Lincoln Co. Wi Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Wi/Lincoln/258 Surname: TWOMEY, DONOVAN, DRAEGER, GOULD, BAGUHN ------------------------- Looking for information on the Timothy Twomey/Mary Donovan family or his brother John Twomey/Elizabeth Donovan both couples settled in the Tomahawk, Lincoln County area. They originated from Peterborough, Ontario. They were pioneers in the town when it was just a clearing. John and Elizabeth were the first bride and groom to have been married in the town - 1889. Timothy was president of the city council for a time. John and Timothy built the Hotel Michigan on Railroad street. They operated it together until 1904, when John bought out Timothy's share and operated the hotel with his wife until 1912. I'm hoping to find information on John and Elizabeth's children. Any information on the Hotel Michigan would be great as well. I know that Timothy and Mary had one son, John D. Twomey, who eventually settled in Minnesota. Timothy had one other son by his first wife (who I have yet to find) named William S. Twomey. William is my great grandfather. Would love to find others related to this line. Chris Lehr
