I'm sorry - I forgot to include the URL for the site to order death certificates for Minnesota. Death Certificate Index: Search Form or http://people.mnhs.org/dci/ Shelley
Here is a great page which lets you order death certificates from Minnesota for $8.00 a copy. They have indexed deaths from 1908 to 1946. The page has a search engine. Shelley
Apparently when I transferred the link to the Civil War site, on some e-mails a <click came with it. If you are having trouble, use http://216.88.32.142/cwss/soldiers.htm Shelley

One cemetary that was in Merrill is the Merrill Memorial Cemetary.

Hi, My biggest mystery is what happened to our great grandmother, Gertie Hutchins Drew. I have her birth date, her marriage date, when her children were born and who her parents, grandparents and siblings were. I just can't find a record of her death. I just got my 4th notice from the state of WI saying they couldn't find any record of her death. I know she was alive in the spring of 1910 because she's in the Federal Census. I also know that her husband, Ralph, married Hattie Wetzel in 1921. A person corresponed via this rootsweb site that they had seen her grave in a small cemetery outside of Bloomville and that the date on it was 11/15/1916. I can't find any records to substaniate this. If I can provide any information on other family members, especially the HUTCHINS, please let me know. Thanks. Deb Thomas
Hi, I'd be happy to exchange DREW family information with you. I have lots of research on your DREW family and can give you names of parents and grandparents.
Hi List I am looking for information on the one room school house in Merrill. My great Grandmother, Margaret Adell Norman taught there for a few years. She married a man named Bacil Augustine Warren. They had a daughter Mary Sedgewick Warren. All of this was in Merrill. I would like to know where to write for more information on the school and the teachers there. Thanks to Debbie Fehr, a terrific volunteer, we now have the Woodlawn Cemetery indexed and online. Check it out Lincoln County Wisconsin WiGenWeb It is under the box labeled "miscellaneous", then Woodlawn Cemetery. Be sure to look at the censuses online too - if any of the links don't work, let me know. Shelley
Hi Phyllis, I have been researching an Anna Bell in my family. She was born in Saukville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. Her parents were Elizabeth and Peter Bell (not your Peter). I just recently found my Peter Bell listed in a 1870 Census. In the same census was listed a Theresa and Anthony Bell, who at the time had at least eight children, one of whom was named Peter. I think my Peter and Anthony are brothers, but have not been able to prove this yet, as do I think their parents are Christian and Christina Bell, who also lived in Ozaukee County. I don't know if this is your family, but maybe it will help you some. Good luck.
Still looking for any evidence that a Christian Quaars/Qaars/Quars, was ever in Merrill WI in 1910. He might have immigrated between 1907 and 1910 from Germany. Help ! Cidney
