    1. [WILINCOL] Lucille Frances Barden - Aug 1917 - adopted daughter
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: JulesBrez Surnames: Barden, Junkher, Yunkherr, Junker, Payne, Pergolski, Duncan Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.lincoln/1344/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm searching for the birth parents of my grandmother. She was born on August 1, 1917 and was adopted by Charles Henry Barden and Frances Jane (Payne) Barden of Wausau. She grew up an only child, married Edwin Pergolski in 1937, had 16 children and died in Wausau in 1991. Frances Payne and Charles Barden were married in Wisconsin Rapids in 1902 and lived in Wausau. Frances' sister, Anna married Fred Duncan and lived in Wisconsin Rapids. Her other sister Rose, married Melvin Duncan and I believe they moved to Louisana. Lucille is believed to have been born in Lincoln county (Merrill?). And I was told the birth mother's name on her adoption certificate is JUNKHER and that her birth mother died when she was a baby or maybe when she was born. I've been trying to research the Junkher name and have found it to not be very friendly for googling. I even thought I could be sneaky and find out info at the register of deeds in Lincoln county, but that didn't work. Does anyone have some clues or family secrets to share? ;) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 1. [WILINCOL] Old Wisconsin Photograph Album including LINQUIST or LINDQUIST photographs from Merrill WI
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old Wisconsin Photograph Album including identified photographs from a number of families including: JORGENSON from Norway OLSON from Chicago, IL HOMME from Wausau, WI and Clintonville or Wittenberg, WI LINQUIST or LINDQUIST from Merrill, WI LARSEN from Minneapolis, MN CHRISTIANSEN from Racine, WI PETERSEN from Milwaukee, WI NELSON from Milwaukee, WI and Oconomowoc, WI THOMPSON from Colby, WI COYLE from Oconomowoc, WI DYKE from Oconomowoc, WI and Milwaukee, WI WILHELMUN from Lake Mills, IA JACOBSON from Oconomowoc, WI HOLTE (no location indicated) Unidentified photographs come from: Merrill, WI (noted only as Christiana, Julia, and the boys + funeral flower photographs) Skien, Norway (noted only as Patica) Oconomowoc, WI (2 photos - unidentified man and woman) The album does not appear to be a family album though the handwriting throughout is all made by the same person it would appear, may simply be an album of friends and neighbors. Some seem to be related to a church group including a Reverend and Missionaries. Some indication that the album may have belonged to "L. JENSEN" as that name appears on in pencil on the backs of some photographs as if that was the person to whom the photographs were gifted. I am hoping to return these photographs to members of their families and would appreciate your contacting me if you are related to any of these families or know someone who might be. I've included a complete listing of the photographs in the album. I've also noted those pages as "Empty" where a photograph was removed at some earlier time and only the name remains, just in case it provides a clue to the original ownership of the album. The Plisch surname was relatively rare (and still is). Karlsthal was in the Bruntal district and Kuttelberg was in the Krnov district. These districts were recently combined by the Czech government into one district. I've done some research into the Plisch families living in this area in the 19th century, and I'm convinced they're related, but I can't prove it yet. Due to money and time constraints, most of my research has targeted Plisch families in the USA. So far, I've been able to trace every Plisch family I've found in the USA back to my great great grandparents. I have plans to continue research (later this year - maybe) on the Plisch families of Silesia (especially Austria Silesia), and I've made some contacts to facilitate this. If you contact me at desalvg@aol.com, I can send you more information, and I promise to keep you informed of what I find if you'll do the same.
