I recently tracked down a brief, handwritten geneology Myrtle sent to my grandma back in 1971. Once I get my hands on it, I will get whatever information it contains to you if you're interested. I'd love to hear stories about Ruldolph and Minnie if you have any. Altho I am interested in the family tree part - my main goal is to record family stories - so any help along those lines would be really appreciated! Might be easier if we move this to regular email - if you don't mind. Mine is hometown_writer (at) yahoo.com. Thanks, I look forward to talking with you and good luck with the search! I am related to Viola, Howard, Leona, Myrtle...and used to visit Rudolph and Minnie when I was a child. I frequently referred to them as Grandpa/Grandma Semerau, although that is not how I was related to them. I am assuming that you must be a child of Renola and Adrian? I am also trying to piece together the relationships, and have a number of questions as well. At this point I'm specifically trying to figure out the Meinke side. If you have any information how a connection is made to Lorenzo Meinke, whose children were Florence, Ruby, Virgil and Howard Meinke, I would appreciate knowing what that connection is. Perhaps we need to talk and review notes. I hope we can establish some contact here....Charles Eggert Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: Photognix Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.lincoln/1273.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My dad was Gordon Israel Barnia. I have searched the photos and names listed and even used different spellings in the Search box--nothing comes up. My thought is that he wasn't with the CCC at the time of the time span for this book. I also searched for a friend who may or may not have been at the same camp with him with no result. Thanks so much for trying to help. I have come up with an address for the CCC records and will try that--looks like you can get a copy of the discharge record without needing the company and unit so I'll give that a try...thanks again! Did you look in the index? It has the page nos. for the different companies; I typed in page 105 into the search this object box and got the Tomahawk Company. I just need to know the name you are looking for. There is a picture and history of the company and a list of names of those in the picture. You can search each company history and picture and perhaps find him. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. No luck there. I was thinking perhaps Merrill, being the county seat and his home town, might have run newspaper stories and listed the young men as they left for the camps or returned home. Without a unit name/number it appears I cannot get his record. Oh well, the search goes on... Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Paul Fehr and his wife Lorraine are both deceased. I was a pall bearer for both of their funerals. I also remember Andrew and Chritina (Tina) Fehr Smith. That is going back a long time but it's a small community. If it's 45-65 years ago I know of it in Gleason. Since then I've not kept in touch. Visits were spent helping mother and not too much socializing. Apparently the Waldburgers and Fehrs all came from Luzien Switzerland. It's close to Davos which is where I thought they originated. In 1978 I did meet a Waldburger in Davos who was a clueless about his geneaology as I was. Mother was along and did enjoy it none the less.
