    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: coxbe1 Surnames: Wogsland, Voxland, Smith, Darling Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.wisconsin.counties.lincoln/1271.1.1.1.1.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Lorna- It is so exciting to connect with another Wogsland! I don't know if you have found the passenger list for the family or not, but if you go to http://www.norwayheritage.com/pasquest.asp, put in the surname voxland and the year 1850, it will take you to information about their immigration. I think this is Andrew and Maria's father and grandparents. I have a record that says Maria was born in 1876 and had a daughter named Pearl. Maria's husband was named Bob Smith and Pearl's married name may have been Darling. Ole and Gunhild's children in order of birth are Martin, Andrew, Emma, Maria, and Carl. I do have some information about their decendants. There is a brief biography of Andrew Wogsland at http://www.webfamilytree.com/Griggs_County_Centennial/walum/wogsland.htm It is a little out of date as all of Andrew's children are now deceased. Gunhild was his mother. He was my great grandfather, although we have a different birthdate for him, Nov. 21, 1863-April 17, 1924, I believe it is the same person. He was born in Wisconsin, but family lore says that he had a falling out with his family and left the area. He ended up in Walum, ND, a small farming town. He married Florence Zingg (Jan 5, 1874-Nov. 25, 1966) in Dazey, ND on March 16, 1899. They had 10 children. My grandfather, Clifford,(July 9, 1902-Sept. 5, 1986) was their second child. He married Mae Brunberg (Oct. 16, 1907-Sept 29, 2001) in Great Falls, MT on Oct 12, 1926. I can give you more details if you want them. I need to find an updated one with the complete arrangements which I am sure they had. The date was 4-16-1935. It was confirmed with the names of the adult children. I think the date of birth for her or Charles or their names are off a bit. Maybe that is why it has been hard to locate them. I think the C middle initial for Charles is off too. I am in need of more help with this to get past this stage of the game. Thank You. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was last found in the 1930 census in Harrison Township. His brother, Peter died in 1950 and Matt was not listed as a survivor. Matt was born in 1876 in the Netherlands and came to America in 1915 with his family. His brother was buried from St Augustine Catholic Church at Harrison so I would expect Matt was also.
