Hi Folks! I am searching for the ancestry of Maria WILHITE and her husband William BOWEN. They lived in Knoxville, TN originally, and one of their daughters, Maria, was born there in January 1804. Supposedly this daughter was not their firstborn. Our records say they had 14 children in all, though it only lists 12 by name. In the late 1820's the family moved to Russellville, Alabama. It is assumed that some of the children were adults by that time and did not follow their parents there. Their children's names were as follows: Melinda Matilda Marander Rachel Rebecca Maria (born Jan 1804) William Arthur Wilkerson Albert Ruthie Harvey Sarah This last child Sarah was born 1813 and married John E. HESTER of Franklin County, Alabama. If anybody can help me discover the ancestry of this Maria WILHITE and William BOWEN, please let me know. This is all the information I have on them.
