Am searching for parents or siblings of James Wilhite b. 7/7/1790 in Culpepper Co. VA. m. Peggy Baker 3/12/1812 at Dandridge, Jefferson Co., TN Served as a private in Captain John Roper's Company of the Tennessee mil under Col William Lillard as a volunteer from 10/8/1813 thru 2/8/1814 and was honorably discharged. Received a bounty land claim in Polk County Missouri in 1851. Received a military pension for service in the war of 1812 in 1871 at Richland Co, IL. d. 7/5/1873 at Olney, Richland Co., IL. Peggy Baker died at Jefferson Co., TN and he remarried. I believe he was in Jefferson Co until about 1830 due to d.o.b. & locations of children. I do not know name of second wife.
