My notes indicate that the James Wilhite that married Peggy Baker and Susan Cates is a different James Wilhite that married Comfort Stansbury. It is generally accepted that James who married Comfort Stansbury is the son of Adam and Miss Batey (Patey). Marge Wilhite believes that the other James who married Peggy Baker was Adams son but I haven't seen any conclusive proof. I am descended from James and Comfort.
