    3. Robbie Bales Broyles Died: 02-23-2002 JOHNSON CITY - Robbie Bales Broyles, 76, of North Boone Street, Johnson City, died Saturday at Johnson City Medical Center. [Johnson City, Washington County, Tennessee] Mrs. Broyles was a native of Greeneville, a daughter of the late Luke C. and Jane Brown Bales. She had lived in Johnson City since 1970. She had been an employee of Johnson City Medical Center, where she was a nurse. Mrs. Broyles was a member of Bales Chapel United Methodist Church, and attended Tacoma Church of God in Johnson City. She was a member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Ladies auxiliaries, and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and had been active with the Johnson City Senior Citizens. Mrs. Broyles was the widow of Sam R. Broyles, who died in 1977. Survivors include a son: Mike Bales of Lenoir City; a granddaughter: Melissa Jane Bales of Knoxville; a special nephew: Larue Bales of Greeneville; and a special friend: Eva Bales Guy of Knoxville. The family received friends from 9-10 this morning at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service followed visitation at 10 o'clock in the North Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Wayne Absher and the Rev. W.D. Garman officiated. A committal service and burial followed in Mountain Home National Cemetery.
