For approximately 12 hours, from about 5:30 AM to about 5:30 PM EST, Sunday, 11/18/01, mail sent to the Lists at Rootsweb was lost. If you sent email and never saw it on the Lists, please re-send, IF you were fortunate enough to keep copies. I've learned from this. I usually delete all sent email, except for critical posts, soon after sending. I now plan to keep ALL sent email for a week before deleting it. The problem was caused by a failed server at Rootsweb. Normally, such a failure would have caused email posts to be re-routed to another server and sent as usual. This was an exceptional problem, and one that, as far as I know, has never happened before. But, "if it CAN happen, sooner or later, it WILL happen". SgtGeorge George W. Durman
