His father was Sherman Wilhite and married a Cherokee Indian women named Maggie Dixon. He had 3 brothers: Walker and George, last known to be in the McAlister, OK area; Andrew last known to have settled in Arkansas. The information I have at this time is very sketchy. I've just recently started tracing my heritage. I have a cousin who has done a great amount of research, but I won't see her until the reunion, at which time I'm sure to have more information.
