    3. Callie Shepherd Wilhoit Died: 11-30-2001 Callie Shepherd Wilhoit, of Apple Street, died at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Healthcare Center. She was a homemaker and a member of River Hill United Methodist Church, attending regularly as long as her health permitted. She served as a lay leader and was a Sunday school teacher for several years. Mrs. Wilhoit was born on April 14, 1911, to the late J.M. "Mead" and Emeline Fletcher Shepherd and was the widow of Cecil L. Wilhoit, who died on July 7, 1967. They were married 73 years ago on Nov. 10. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pansy and Don Baughard of Mosheim; two sons and daughters-in-law: Bobbie and Wanda Lea Wilhoit and Guy and Hope Wilhoit, all of Greeneville; four grandchildren and their special spouses: Diane Baughard and Bob Percell of Mosheim, Shane and Ellen Wilhoit of Sevierville, Rance Wilhoit of Greeneville, and Tim and Diane Wilhoit of Nashville; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie Shepherd and Naomi Shepherd of Greeneville; and several special nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and her parents, Mrs. Wilhoit was preceded in death by an infant grandson; an infant great-granddaughter; a sister, Hattie Shepherd Wilhoit; a twin brother, Allie Shepherd; and five other brothers: Blaine, Ben, Joe, A.L. "Aud" and Jack Shepherd. The funeral will be at 6 o' clock this evening at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brenda Holloway officiating. Interment will take place at a private graveside service at River Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bobby and Guy Wilhoit, Tim Wilhoit, Bob Percell, Rance Wilhoit and Shane Wilhoit. It was Mrs. Wilhoit's special request that all family members and friends send contributions to: River Hill Cemetery, c/o Edward Johnston, 110 Cooter Way, Greeneville, TN 37743, rather than sending flowers. There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call between 2 p.m. and the service time of 6 p.m. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
