There are both Slaughters and Wilhites in her family line, but I do not recognize any of the other names. John K. Slaughter was born in George in 1813; he moved from there to Alabama and then to Arkansas. Thomas Jefferson Wilhite was born in Tennessee in 1814; from there he went to Louisiana, then Arkansas, and finally Texas. I'm pretty sure that there is no direct connection with the people in the album you have, but I thought that I should at least post a reply. Pat

Nancy WILHOIT Ray Burnett Wilhoit, age 85, of Moultrie, formerly of Atlanta, son of the late Elma Ray June and Oscar Alvin Wilhoit, died March 29, 2003 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie. Mr. Wilhoit was retired Trust Officer of Trust Company Bank of Georgia and a veteran of the U.S.A.F. He was of the Methodist faith. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roswell, GA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Louise Hill Wilhoit and is survived by 4 sons, Jack Wilhoit, Canton, GA; Matthew Wilhoit, Warner Robins, GA; Tim Wilhoit, Blue Ridge, GA; Ray Wilhoit, Jr. of Canton, GA; 1 daughter, Patti Perry of Moultrie, GA, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
