Joseph Wilcoxson, b. c. 1635 in Stratfield, CT to William Wilcoxson and Margaret, married ? and had children: Joseph(b. 29 Oct 1659 in Killingsworth, CT), Thomas *b. 11/13/1661 d. May 1694 unmarried*, Samuel *b. 1663*, Hannah *1/19/1665*, Nathaniel *8/29/1668*, William *1/9/1671*, Margaret *1673*, and John *1675*. I have seen two different mothers for Joseph, Jr.: Anna Mitchell and Margaret Sheather. Is there proof for which is correct? Also, William's wife Margaret: was her maiden name Birdseye or Harvey? Thank you for your help. Hal Bradley Hi Hal, I have added to the above, note the * * The book I have has the last name (in pencil where the blank line is) Birdseye for the last name of Margaret on page 26. On page 27 #3 Joseph, second son of William has the name Sheather penciled in for the last name of his wife Ann. I don't know where this person got the information. It does not cite source. The book states: Joseph, second son of William Wilcoxson, born about 1636 at Concord, Mass. Brought by his parents to Stratford, Conn. in 1639. Married in Stratford, about 1658, Ann Sheather. He removed to Killingworth in 1665 and died there in 1689. The orginal papers in the settlement of his estate are on file in the Connecticutt State Library, Hartford, Conn., number 5717. The widow Ann Wilcoxson was still alive in 1708 when she petitioned for custody of her Farnum (children of her daughter Hannah and her first husband Peter Farnham) grandchildren. And it lists their children. Hope this helps. Ruth
