The Eagle Tribune, Lawrence MA Monday, August 4 1997 Page 14 Newburyport - Vera M. (Wilcox) Shaw, 91, of 180 Low Street, died yesterday at the Country Manor Nursing Home. Born in North Andover, Mrs. Shaw lived in Newburyport most of her life. She worked for the former CBS Hytron in Newburyport and retired in 1971 from Western Electric, North Andover. Mrs. Shaw was a member of Central Congregational Church, Newburyport, for more than 60 years and was a member of the choir for over 40 years. She volunteered for many years with the American Red Cross blood drive and was a member of the Newburyport Choral Society and the Kitchen Cut-Ups, a local singing group. She leaves her daughters, Janet Shaw of Seabrook, NH, and Eugenia and husband Norman Shute of North Berwick, Maine, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Elliott, Woodworth, & Rogers Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. Private burial will immediately follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
