Daily Gazette, Schenecady NY, Tuesday, July 1, 1997: SCHENECTADY - Mrs. Marion Wilcox Ladu, 86, of Regent Street, died Sunday at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Pattersonville, Mes. Ladu was a 1928 graduate of Woestina High School. She lived most of her life in Schenectady County. She was an executive secretary for the General Electric Co. for more than 40 years, retiring in 1967. Mrs. Ladu was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club. Mrs. Ladu was a member of the Eastern Parkway Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of Circle B. Her husband, Clarence J. Ladu, died in 1967. Survivors include two nephews, Frank "Skip" Wilcox of Scotia and Roger Wilcox of Tucson, Ariz.; and two nieces, Catherine W. Smith of Hawley, Pa., and Judy Slack of San Diego, Calif. The service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State St. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Crosstown Plaza, 2330 Watt St., Schenectady, N.Y. 12304. --- Daily Gazette, Schenecady NY, Wednesday, July 2, 1997: ROSWELL, Ga. - Mrs. Ida May Wilcox, 75, formerly of Cohoes and Schenectady, died Monday in Roswell after a short illness. Born and educated in Cohoes, Mrs. Wilcox moved to Roswell in 1994. She worked for Mohawk Country Club, retiring in 1994. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of the Roswell Senior Citizens. She was the widow of F. Donald Wilcox. Survivors include a son, Bruce Wilcox of Lilburn, Ga.; and four grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Church, Congress Street, Cohoes. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
