Hello WILCOX Researchers, I have not actually done the research to take my WILCOX line back to immigrant status, but have done so for my family back to Jehiel WILCOX (b. 1802); for the generations back beyond Jehiel, I am currently dependent upon the published genealogies by people such as Clifford WILCOX (the descendants of William WILCOXSON described in the link to the _Planter_'s passenger list on the 'Net), Thomas WILCOX ("A Preliminary Report on the Descendants of William Wilcoxson, 'Father of Connecticutt'"), and Mary Scott Osborne ("Wilcox/Wilcoxson Families of New England and Their Descendants: A Genealogical Dictionary"). What I have is as follows: 1st Generation: William WILCOXSON, born abt 1601, in Derbyshire, Engl. Married in Engl, Margaret BIRDSEYE, and emigrated to America on the ship _Planter_ in 1635 with Margaret and son John. 2nd Generation: Joseph WILCOXSON, born abt 1635, in Concord, MA; died 9 Feb 1703, in Killingsworth, Middlesex Co, CT. He married in 1658, in Stratford, Fairfield Co, CT, Anna SHEATHER, daughter of John SHEATHER and Elizabeth WELLMAN. 3rd Generation: Nathaniel WILCOX/WILCOXSON, born 29 Aug 1668, in Killingworth, Middlesex Co, CT; died 13 Jan 1712, in Killingworth, Middlesex Co, CT. He married, on 21 Nov 1695, Hannah LANE, born 26 Dec 1668; died 21 Dec 1727, daughter of Robert LANE and Sarah PICKETT. 4th Generation: Thomas WILCOX/WILCOXSON, born 9 Jul 1698, in Killingworth, Middlesex Co, CT; died abt 1789. He married Martha ____. 5th Generation: Jehiel/Hiel WILCOX/WILCOXSON, born 3 May 1734, in Killingworth, Middlesex Co, CT; died 5 Dec 1822 (or 15 Dec 1822) in Canaan, Columbia Co, NY. He married abt 1758, Deborah GILLETTE, born 25 Sep 1734; died 13 Nov 1812, daughter of Joseph GILLETTE and Deborah CHAPPELL. 6th Generation: Nathaniel WILCOX, born 6 Jan 1759, in Killingworth, Middlesex Co, CT; died 14 Feb 1837, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY. He married Joanna MCGONIGLE (Joanna MALLORY, according to Thomas WILCOX's "A Preliminary Report. . ."), born 17 Nov 1771, in Hillsdale, Columbia Co, NY; died 23 Nov 1836, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY. 7th Generation: Jehiel N. WILCOX, born 26 Sep 1802, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY; died 10 Jan 1858, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY. He married Susannah/Susan/Sarah STREETER, born 1806; died 1 May 1867, in Florence Twp, Stephenson Co, IL. 8th Generation: Mortimer WILCOX, born 1832, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY; died 14 Nov 1864, in Florence Twp, Stephenson Co, IL. He married Rebecca FERGUSON, born 23 Nov 1835, in NY; died 15 Dec 1895, in Giltner, Hamilton Co, NE. 9th Generation: Charles Wesley WILCOX, born 14 Dec 1854, in Lexington, Greene Co, NY; died 2 Apr 1934, in Springfield, Green Co, MO. He married on 27 Nov 1879, in Florence Twp, Stephenson Co, IL, Josephine Esther HENNEY, born 6 Jun 1850, in Metz, Jasper Co, IA, daughter of Jacob HENNEY and Susannah BENTZ/BENCE. 10th Generation: Victor Willard WILCOX, born 12 Sep 1881, in Bromfield, Hamilton Co, NE; died 6 Apr 1946, in Springfield, Green Co, MO. He married, on 26 Oct 1905, in Pawnee, Pawnee Co, OK Terr, Jessie L. MOSHER, born 30 May 1886, in Centralia, Nemaha Co, KS; died 20 Jun 1975, in Springfield, Green Co, MO, daughter of Nathan Jonathan MOSHER and Lydia Sophia MOSHER. 11th Generation: Vera Levina WILCOX, born 11 Apr 1907, in Hallett, Pawnee Co, OK Terr; died 30 Jun 1976, in Portland, Multnomah Co, OR. She married, on 19 June 1929, in Ozark, Christian Co, MO, Henry H. WEIHS, born 19 Dec 1904, in Osyka, Pike Co, MS; died 27 Mar 1980, in Portland, Multnomah Co, OR, son of John Charles WEIHS and Cora Maude RECORDS. 12th Generation: Frank Arthur WEIHS, born 2 Aug 1933, in Springfield, Green Co, MO. He married, 16 Aug 1958, in Beaverton, Washington Co, OR, Janice Lee VINSON, born 10 Aug 1937, in Pasco, Franklin Co, WA, daughter of William Lloyd VINSON and Verna E. CARTLEDGE.
