Just received more confusing data on the elusive William Willcocks of Nelson County, KY. My William was married to a Phoebe Ashcraft, but may have been married previously. I was sent an abstract of a DAR record listing William as a SGT - MA born 2 Sep 1753, d. 30 June 1807 with a Mary Stevens claiming a Widow's pension. My William's will was probated in 1802 so this must not be him. Hope it helps someone.
