Since last we talked, my sister got some new information on our Charles. A researcher in New York sent the following info to her. It has also been published in The New Handbook of Texas, Vol 6 so someone else must have the same data. 1st Generation: Edward Wilcox, b. 1605, d 1638 2nd Generation Daniel Wilcox, b. abt 1634, d 2 Jul 1702, marr. 1661 to Elizabeth Cooke 3rd Generation: Stephen Wilcox, b. abt 1668, d. 13 Nov 1736, marr. 1695 to Susanna Briggs 4th Generation: Stephen Wilcox, b. 1708, Dartmouth, MA, d. 1778, marr 1730 to Mary Thomas 5th Generation: Tyler Wilcox, b. 1741, Dartmouth, MA, d 17 Mar 1809, marr. 1760 to Deborah Russell in Tiverton RI. They both died in Greenfield, NY 6th Generation: Charles Wilcox, b. 18 Jan 1785, NY, d. 7 Feb 1876, Texas, marr. 1838 to Phoebe Caroline Smith, NJ Of course, I'm well familiar with the Edward/Daniel, etc. clan, but have not heard the name Tyler before. Does any of this sound feasible to you. We have no proof and the researcher sure didn't send any either.
