Guess I've just been sitting back waiting for others to post to the list hoping that a connection will turn up for my line. It has been awhile since I've posted, so here is my problem ancestor. George Washington Wilcox b. 1838 Granby, Oswego Co., NY I have his Civil War military and pension records. He joined from the same county he says he was born in. I still can't put him with a family! I have had people in New York help me, but they can't connect him to anyone either. He stated on his marriage record that his parents were James Wilcox and Susan Hutchinson. OK. So, I went to the archives in Seattle and looked at every James Wilcox in the state of NY in 1850. No one had a son, George, who was born about the right year. I have tried to connect him to the Wilcox families in Richland or Juneau counties, WI, which is where he went after the war. Nothing seems to tie him in with any of the Wilcox families in those counties. George married Emily Sparling in 1877 in Richland co., WI and they stayed there until about 1903, then moved to Juneau co, WI. There are a lot of Wilcoxes there. Maybe he was related to some of them? Can anyone make a connection? Carole
