Rememberance Day My brother Lester Schauer born 8 April 1924, Mendham, SK died 8 Dec. 1973, Ortona, Italy, Grave 8, Row B, Plot 2, Morro River Cemetery. Lester was with the 19th Platoon - D Company of the 48th Highlanders of Canada. He and 5 other soldiers were killed in a fox hole by a grenade. Please feel free to post your *War Heroes*.
