Marc has made it possible for us to have the list archived on a web page. I have been sitting back waiting to see how it will work. To me it looks great BUT I will put the question to the list if they want it or not. It can be set up with a password so that only those subscribed can access it or it can be open. The reason I'm asking is that we want people to be able to go there! We want those unknown cousins, who are not on the mailing list, to be able to find us, see what we're doing, get addresses of those who have matching families...in short MAKE CONTACT! BUT we need to talk about the visibility of email addresses, privacy and copyright issues and unanimously agreed that our purpose is to share, to contact other WILCOX researchers in any way possible, and make it easy for other WILCOX researchers to find us. Having the archives password protected will do the opposite of that. And worse yet, will decrease the usage by members who SHOULD be able to access them quickly and easily. It's up to you. 1.
