I am desperately looking for my great grandmother and her parents I have written to St. Louis, Missouri and they tell me that they didn't exist. I have there address from 1880, when my great grandmother was born, but they have no record of this family. I need help!!!! Children: Jennie Wilcox age 2yr. born around 1868 in Missouri Emma Wilcox age 2 mo born in 1870 in Missouri On the 1880 St. Louis Soundex it list: 1600 O'Falon St. St Louis William Wilcox age 42 yr Dora Wilcox age 33 yr Jennie Wilcox age 12 yr born around 1868 in Missouri William Wilcox age 9 yr born 9-29-1871 in Missouri Lotta Wilcox age 6 yr born 1874 in Illinois Katie Wilcox age 3 yr born around 1877 in Missouri Harriet Wilcox age 5 mo born 1-26-1880 in Missouri (my great grandmother) Other siblings listed in the Family Bible are: Bonnie Violet Wilcox 1906 Coty Wilcox ? Margaret Wilcox 10-13-1866 or 12-23-1867 to 10-18-1876 Jane Elizabeth Wilcox 1868 to 3-19-1870 Flo Wilcox 1-22-1893 Harriet Wilcox's married Thomas Lee Maness from Decatur County, Tenn August of either 1894 or 1897 They had several children in East St Louis, Illinois after their marriage They were in the 1900 census in Decatur County, Tenn Where they had several children They were in Caruthersville, Missouri in 1910 Where they had more children Around 1920 they moved to Cantwell, Missouri They always had restaurants named Ma and Pa's I believe there last one was someone around St Louis, Missouri Harriet (Hattie) Wilcox Maness passed away May 11, 1947 in Belleville, Illinois and is buried in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois In the family Bible The names of George and Nancy Wilcox are written - I wonder if this is William's parents Margaret Szeim 1871 Mother L D Szeim 1864 Father A date of death 1894 - I don't know whose this is, maybe Hattie's father Kate Wilcox married Frank Johnson 1-22-1893 Daisy Wilcox married Will Enloe 10-14-1907 Lottie Wilcox married John Bush 10-3-1897 Bill Wilcox married Hester Yuston 2-1897 If anyone knows anything about this Wilcox family Please contact me at [email protected] ==== WILCOX Mailing List ==== Web Archives http://lists.rootsweb.com/~archiver/lists/WILCOX-L/
