Hello everyone, I am looking for information on the parents of Pearl Carrie Wilcox, my great-grandmother. Here's the information I have: She was born March 1, 1870 in Camp Point, Adams County, Illinois. She married Harry Frank Cheney (my great-grandfather) on January 17, 1895 at the Ninth Street Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. She had three sons and a daughter (my grandmother) and died on February 24, 1959, in Salem, Oregon. Those are the facts. Here are the rumors: Her father made horse-drawn carriages and was one of triplets named Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (like in the Bible). He was Meshach Wilcox, and both he and his two brothers (who also "lived to be men") went by nicknames. Unfortunately, I don't know what that nickname was. If this sounds familiar to anyone, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. In return, I would be more than happy to help anyone interested in establishing contact with Pearl Wilcox's descendants here in Oregon. We know virtually nothing about our Wilcox ancestors and I would like to change that. Thank you for your time, Teren D.
