Does anyone have the following family? And if so, can you give me any information on the Levi mentioned herein? I lost my Levi in 1896 and cannot find hide nor hair of him anywhere. He would have been prox 64 + or - I found this in "Ohio, The Cross Road of the Nation" Volume XIV Number 14 October - December 1973 and in Darke County: WILLCOX, James Sr. b. in N.Y. State on Mohawk River. His father served in Rev. War. He settled first in Montgomery Co., Oh., then to Preble Co., and in 1839 to German Twp., Darke Co. He married Elizabeth KESTER a native of Lancaster Co., PA here with her parents when quite small. They had: James, John, Charles, David, Phebe, William, Elizabeth, Elijah, Levina, Memlius, Levi, Jeremiah, and Mary. He died in 1856 and his wife in 1855. Their son James b in 1817 md in 1841 Sarah J. CLENDENINE who d 5 mos later. He md 2nd in 1848 Elizabeth KETRING & had 9 children. Members of Christian Church of Palestine. I can find no parents nor siblings for my Levi WILCOX who married Elizabeth ALKIRE in Illinois November 24, 1853. Any help on this line will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you for reading this.
