What do you you know, finally a connection. Minot Wilcox is in my line. His picture hung for years in the Toledo, Ohio library. He descended from an old whaling and shipbuilding family. He was born in NYS and removed to Toledo, where other family members were involved with the shipping industry. He invested heavily in railroads and died quite wealthy. He had no offspring, and left the most of his estate to cousins. Anyone with Wilcox roots around Toledo, please contact me as I lost my gr gr grandfather John b 1778 in Ohio, south of Toledo.
