That seems to be my findings when it comes to looking for any information on my Orlando. I still think the possibility of him being the son of Orlando WILCOX is a possibility but without any proof it will be hard to find. I am going to order the Killingworth and Guilford Vital Records and pore over them again. I know that he is not in the IGI even though there are about six or seven Orlando WILCOXes in there. My Orlando gave his birth place as Connecticut on two census' and Canada on another (I think that the Census enumerator may have transcribed this wrong). Thanks for the information on the WILCOX family. I was hoping that by getting his death record, I would find his parents' names listed but the town in New York that he lived in did not keep records before 1890, and a lot of their earlier records that they did have were destroyed by fire (or so they said).
