Wilcox, 74, a housewife and seamstress, died Friday (June 6, 1997) in Genesee Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The former Bessie Darbee, a native of Aurora, had lived in Alexander before moving to Batavia. She was a member of Alexander United Methodist Church, Golden Reapers and the Alexander Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Howard L.; a brother, Myron Darbee of Alden; and three sisters, Helen Price of Corfu, Margaret Holzschuh of East Aurora and Mary Tomlinson of Escondido, Calif. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Alexander United Methodist Church, Main Street, Alexander. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
