I note considerable activity on the wilcox mailing list I am still looking for Elisha's background who arrived in Essex county prior to 1800 with a family [no wife]Family included Elisha Jr. Hezakiah Morrice James and a married daughter Sara.     3. Robert, I have seen a Theron from Essex county also. Is this any connection. I have seen an Elisha and William in Peoria (1840) and have seen that a Theron Wilcox recieved a land grant somewhere around Peoria. Are these your Wilcoxes? As far as Elisha Wilcox and back, I can only remember that Lynn Burge has an extensive list of Wilcoxes, if you can find out how to get to her website, you may want to check it out. I have not visited the site in a year and do not remember where I found it.
