Robert: There were "Wilcoxens" in (at that time Morgan Co., Adams Twp., IN) in 1830. The Cemetery at Stilesville, Hendricks, Co., IN. has a section called the Wilcoxen Section. That is about all I can tell you about it. My Line is from William Wilcocks of Nelson Co., KY. and the name is spelled several different ways. Old William spelled the name "Wilcocks" on the consent forms for his daughter's marriage bonds. His son Ezra or Isreal spelled it both "Wilcocks and Willcox". Ezra's sons were enumerated in 1830 as "Willcox" however they signed their legal documents as "Wilcox". It appears that the spelling was determined by the "Clerk" documenting the event. Have a good day and I hope the tidbit at the beginning of the letter is of value to you. Charley F. Wilcox
