April 6, 1947 Victor Willard Wilcox 65, died Sunday afternoon at his home, 1611 North Jefferson. He had been a resident of Springfield since 1918, and had been engaged in the sewing machine repair business for the past 20 years. He was born in Aurora, Neb. He was a member of Benton Ave. Methodist Church and Modern Woodmen. Mr Wilcox suffered a stroke in February, 1946, and had been seriously ill the past four weeks. He is survived by his wife, Jessie, Three sons, Oscar and Ned E., both of Springfield, and the Rev. James w. Wilcox of Orangefield, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Vera L. Weihs, and Mrs. Zula B. Andrews, both of Springfield, and Mrs Esther R. Brown of Norhteast, MD., Four brothers, J.V.of Springfield, O.E. of St. Louis, L.E. and C. E. of Compton, Cal., one sister, Miss Ruth Wilcox of Springfield,and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Klingner Chapel with the Rev. Herbert Hillme and the Rev. W.M. Tisdale officiating. He will buried in Eastlawn Cem. This is Victor's mother Jan. 2, 1934 Mrs. Josephine Wilcox, 72, wife of C. E. Wilcox died last night in Burge Hospital following an illness of two weeks. She suffered a stroke of paralysis a week ago Saturday Mr. and Mrs Wilcox operated a sewing machine agency 17 years at the corner of Robberson Avenue and Commerical Street. They lived in Springfield for the past 28 years,20 years at 960 East Pacific Street. The present home address is 2001 North Main Ave. Besides Mr Wilcox, she is survived by one daughter, Miss Ruth Wilcox of the home address; and six sons; R.M. Wilcox of Kansas City: O.E. Wilcox of St, Louis, V.W., J.V.,L.E., Wilcox of Springfield. Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Thursday morning in the J.W. Klingner Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.R.
