    1. [WILCOX] Wilcox in Lorain co. Ohio
    2. I am also trying to trace my Wilcox line who settled in Avon Township, Lorain County. I don't know from which branch of the Wilcox family they are descended. My ancestors were Oscar Wilcox b 1830 who married Lura Gillett. They had 2 children, Horace b 1849 and Della. Horace married Mary Ann Ellson and had 7 children: Bertha, Grace, William, Horace, Mabel, Ernest, Edna. Grace and William were twins. Census records show there were Wilcoxes were in Avon Township from at least 1840. Other Wilcoxes in Avon during that time were Leander, Daniel, Weedon (or Weedom), John and Willis, but haven't yet been able to make any connection. An Ephraim Wilcox was one of the original land party who surveyed The Connecticut Western Reserve. Any info at all would be appreciated. Richelle Parma, OH
