She was born at her parent's farm, Ophir Twp., LaSalle Co. IL in 1849 and married there 1870 to Fred L. Kimmey. I am uncertain of his origins. Of their four children only the 1st two survived infancy. These two children, sister and brother, Irene Kimmey and Homer Kimmey were b. 1874 & 1877 (Illinois?) and in the 1890's they married a brother and sister: John Wilcox (m. to Irene 1896) and Lydia Wilcox (m. to Homer 1897). Very possibly these families were neighbors, as was so common at the time. Thus comes about the Kimmey & Wilcox names in my pursuit of the descendants of Azema Palmer wife of Fred L. Kimmey. Azema's two children or she herself may have gone to Idaho. In 1900 Azema Palmer Kimmey was living in Morgan Park (Chicago) IL. If by chance your book has an index and tells anything, I would love to know. Peter Burrows, Annapolis, MD.
