    3. Sandra, This isn't the first time I have heard people wondering why we want to know about 'dead people'. I guess we have to overlook these people and move onto the next person that will help us 'preserve our family histories'. If people didn't keep things, say things, maintain Bible records and keep those OLD PICTURES, we would of never, ever had history in school!! Genealogy is a walk-back in time, and a history lesson to anyone that undertakes finding our long, lost ancestors. I am beginning to think that a lot of oldtimer Wilcox's like to 'keep things' under their hats, however. Mine were either cloned, or hadn't hatched yet, because some are sure hard to find. And I know a lot of tricks to finding people, too, and still can't latch onto them.
