    2. This sentence makes me wonder: >This GGAunt indicates that Isaac came from KY and was >separated from his family during the war of 1812 at about the age of 7. Abraham Wilcox m Mary Polly Turner in Mercer Co., KY 1795. Polly was given in marriage by members of the Boucher family which might indicate she had been previously married. Based on later census, it looks like Abraham was b 1773 so he was 22 years old. Abraham and Polly moved to Muhlenberg Co., KY. They appear on the 1810 census with several children. A Muhlenberg court record indicates that Polly sold all the pots and pans. It sure looks like the marriage broke up and she was getting ready to travel light. Abraham enlisted in the war of 1812 in Scott Co., KY. It appears that he didn't go back to Polly and the kids after the war. I never did find out what these kids of the first marriage were named or where they went but they were probably b between 1796 - 1812. Abe went to MO and remarried by 1819 (probably ca 1813). He named the male ch of his 2'nd marriage: Isaac b1821, John b 1828, and William b 1837. 3. Bill in Sunny Phoenix: The family names you mention are also found in William Willcocks descendants. He had son William, Isreal aka EZRA and Zerah. Ezra had sons William, Charles, John, Hardin, Isaac and Thomas. Isaac had sons James, William, Samuel, Richard and Isaac. William Willcocks was born 1744/45 per a 1799 Nelson Co. Court Deposition from William where in he stated he was about 55. His son Ezra was married 15 Apr 1794. Abraham was apparently about Ezra's age. It is intriguing that they all lived so close to each other - this often suggest a family tie. Charley F. Wilcox From Sunny Mesa, AZ.
