    1. Re: [WILCOX] WILCOX in Ascot, Quebec
    2. Kathy, I don't know about your specific names, but I do have a Wilcox/Quebec angle that I've never pursued. Simeon Wilcox (my gggg great grandfather) of Killingworth, CT, had several children, including one named Harley. In a book called "Commemorative and Biographical Record of Middlesex County, CT" - 1903 J.H. Beers Co., there is the following, referring to Simeon's children: "Harley, who adopted the teacher's profession and went to Montreal, and whom the family lost trace..." I don't know if this fits in with anything you are researching, but I've always found to be an interesting reference. My guess is that Harley was born sometime in the 1805-1815 time frame. I only have their names from the "History of the Eastern Townships" by C. M. Day. Thanks. kathy >>

    2. Jack Wilcox
    3. I don't know if any of my Wilcox line ventured into Quebec, But I do have a string, beginning in Rhode Island (1600s) through Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and into Maine (around 1900) Apparently they stayed around Mapleton, ME or some migrated to Aroostook Co. I'm still missing a link in Mapleton where my Father was born in 1902 Jack Wilcox Clear Lake, Iowa (migrates from Mass.)
