Hi, Charley, I have not seen any of our Wilcox or Wilcoxson being in VA as of yet. We have gotten back as far as William Wilcoxson born abt 1601 in St. Albans,Hertfordshire, England. Married to Margaret Birdseye. My maiden name was Wilcox. Our Wilcox were mostly in CT,NY,ILL,KS, Ok, & MO. I am sorry I could not help you. Janet

Janet, I saw your post and wondered if your IL Wilcox lived in either Will or Kankakee counties? I'm looking for Wilcox who (probably) moved from New York to here. My Wilcox ancestors (not the ones mentioned here) lived in Clinton and Essex counties in NY, then (1868) moved to Minnesota to near Brainerd. My brick wall is their parents. My ancestors were (spelling according to their headstones) Norman C. Willcox (1808-1884) and wife Cemantha Goff (1812-1879).
