All I know about where they lived/were born is that Adelaide and husband John Searle lived in Fairfield County, Ohio when Herbert Searle was born. Also, based on Herbert Searle's brithdate, John could have been born at the latest around 1800. I am stuck from here and would appreciate any help anyone can provide. -- Debbie Leffler Streeter dstreeter@onebox.com > > > >-- > >Debbie Leffler Streeter > >dstreeter@onebox.com > > > > > > > > > >__________________________________________________ > >FREE voicemail, email, and fax...all in one place. > >Sign Up Now! http://www.onebox.com > > > > > >==== WILCOX Mailing List ==== > >Did you know that only 7% of Rootsweb subscribers support Rootsweb? > > Thank you for your generous financial support of Rootsweb! > >RootsWeb Gen. That's very interesting Robert, but what does it have to do with Joseph Levi? Would you mind looking up any of these Wilcox/Willcox names? Gardner Wilcox/Willcox Gardiner Wilcox/Willcox Garner Wilcox/Willcox Gardner N. Wilcox, was born 5-20-1825 in New York (where?) and died in Pocquetanuck, CT. His parents were Gardner Wilcox and Nabby (Abigail) Eccleston who married in North Stonington, CT December 1815 and lived in Griswold, CT in 1820 and 1822. They must have gone to NY shortly after if Gardner was born in 1825. I need more information about this Gardner Wilcox. There was a Gardner Wilcox in North Kingstown, RI who had a son Robert Gardiner Wilcox and a Capt. Gardner Wilcox in Exeter, RI who had a daughter Catherine Wilcox who married an Austin. There's a Gardner Wilcox from RI who moved to Nova Scotia (but born in 1754). There are a few Gardner Wilcox's I've come across in NY, but the wrong dates. One was born in Feb. 1825. Another was the son of Isaac Wilcox and Nancy Newcomb, born 1805 - no further info on him. Can you help? Marcia Richardson

Cynthia: I saw your post relative to a Mary Catherine Wilcox (1741 - 1802) of Virginia. I will tell you now that I do not have any information about Mary Catherine but am wondering if you have any information about her siblings? I am looking for the family of William Wilcox b: 1744. His wife's name was Phoebe (some say Ashrcaft but I doubt that). He died in Nelson county KY in 1801 and Phoebe in 1823. Some family members say Phoebe was from "southern Virginia" (wherever southern Virginia was in say 1765 - my estimate of when they were married). He served in the Rev. War in 3rd & 4th Virginia Regiments and received his final pay of 13 pounds in June of 1782 from the State of Virginia. He has no pension records or land grant records. Since your Mary Catherine and William were from the same time frame (1741 - 1744) and thought to be from the same geographical area (Virginia) I just had to ask: Did your Mary Catherine Wilcox have any brothers?? And what else do you know about her?? Just checking -- Charley F. Wilcox
I am looking for the family of Mary Catherine Wilcox (1741-1802) of Virginia, who married Abraham Bledsoe. They lived variously in Virginia, and on the frontier. I'd appreciate any help with finding her family. Could anyone check their Wilcox data? Thanks!
